Torsion Springs — custom manufacture

A right-hand (RH) spring is wound clockwise when viewed from the axis; left-hand (LH) is wound counter-clockwise. The choice depends on the direction of the applied torque — always specify in the drawing.

Straight, bent, looped, hooked, axial, radial, tangential or to drawing. Arm lengths range from a few millimetres to several hundred millimetres depending on the application.

Wire from 0.2 mm to 16 mm, outer diameter from 2 mm to 200 mm, torque from tenths of a Nm to hundreds of Nm.

Common uses include clothes pegs, fuse flaps, garage doors, door hardware, butterfly valves, winding mechanisms and any application requiring a rotational restoring force in a confined space.
